Article of Advisio Ltd consultant included in the annual publication on Estonian Economic Policy

The article of Advisio Ltd consultant Age Laine and Tartu University professor Urmas Varblane on university-industry knowledge transfer and innovation processes was published in the compendium of International Scientific Conference on Economic Policy on the subject „Economic Policy in the EU Member States - Year 2010". The article "Government Supporting Schemes Enhancing University-Industry Knowledge Transfer on the Example of SPINNO Program" is based on master thesis defended by Age in University of Tartu in January. 

The article explores the evolution and forms of collaboration and knowledge transfer between research institutions and enterprises and their linkages to innovation process. Also, an evaluation on SPINNO program aimed at enhancing knowledge transfer processes in Estonia is elaborated and presented.

The article provides a comprehensive framework for understanding the process of knowledge transfer and innovation. It is an interesting reading for representatives of companies and universities providing the framework for self-assessment of their knowledge transfer and innovation capacities and also for representatives of the public sectors as a basis for planning support mechanisms aimed at enhancing knowledge transfer.
