04.02.2010

On January 28, 2010, Advisio's consultant Age Laine defended her Master's thesis Facilitation of Knowledge Transfer Between Research Institutions and Business Sector in the Example of SPINNO Programme at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of the University of Tartu. In her thesis, she developed a framework for shaping and evaluating the structure of support measures aimed at facilitating knowledge transfer, analysed the SPINNO programme within that framework, and proposed recommendations for improving the efficiency of the programme.

While preparing her thesis, Age Laine interviewed representatives of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications (managing authority of the SPINNO programme), Enterprise Estonia Foundation (implementing agency of the SPINNO programme) and project applicants (universities), whom Age will also invite to a seminar, where she will present the results of her research.

Her supervisor was Professor Urmas Varblane and her thesis was awarded the grade A, which stands for 'excellent'.  The thesis is available for readers at the library of the UT Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, or a copy can be requested directly from Age herself.
