Advisio’s experts have provided consultation on local development since 2000 – years before Advisio and its predecessor Funding even existed. Yet there were people who now work for us and who carry the knowledge and values of the company with them. Necessary knowledge and skills have been acquired through practice.

One of our key competences is the ability to manage planning processes in such a manner that the plans which are reached could be actually put into practice and the planned activities would enable to achieve the set goals. We are dedicated to our work and encourage our clients to think and make decisions with us.
Within years, we have helped local governments to plan the development of objects important to them. Together with the heads of local governments we have set goals for regional development and encouraged towns and rural municipalities to make decisions which would help them to improve the local environment.
As a result of the product development process in the local development area we have been able to adopt new work methods and involve new cooperation partners. For instance, we have started to use mobile positioning in the research phase of the planning.
Our clients
Over the last years, we have worked with many development-oriented organisations, helping to achieve their ambitious goals. One of such cooperation partners has been a small but aspiring Haanja Rural Municipality in Võru County. We have helped them to think through the development of the entire local tourism sector, helped to plan the development of Haanja Ski Centre, the highest point of Estonia Suur Munamägi and Rogosi Manor. As a result of our cooperation, the number of tourists visiting Haanja has significantly increased and the area has gained popularity as a destination for international events (e.g. World Military Biathlon and Cross-Country Skiing Championships, European Orienteering Championships, etc.).
Our cooperation with the City of Tartu has been an interesting experience: we have helped them to plan the development of Toome Hill, Antonius Yard and Tartu Toy Museum. Currently we are engaged in the planning of Tartu Lodjapark. Another good partner of ours is the foundation of Virumaa Museums: we have helped to prepare the development plans of Palmse Manor and Rakvere Castle. Our cooperation with the cities of Narva and Ivangorod has provided us with international experience – we have helped to prepare the development plans of castles in both cities.
We have also received positive feedback from Lääne County with regard to our work there: we helped to plan the tourism development plan for the City of Haapsalu as well as the tourism marketing plan for Lääne County. Our most important activity at the moment is the preparation of the tourism development plan for Southern Estonia.
