R&D and product development
The main focus of R&D and Product Development Subdivision is on consultation of innovative, R&D and product development projects and on preparation of financing applications to carry out necessary activities.
Advisio’s consultants have helped to plan over 40 innovative R&D projects and assisted with the preparation of financing applications. 95% of project-related financing applications submitted by our clients to Enterprise Estonia within the framework of its product development support measure have been approved.
The total value of our clients’ development projects carried out with the help of Advisio’s consultants is about 150-200 million Estonian kroons (with over 90 million Estonian kroons of financial aid).
The services we offer are primarily:
- Planning and implementation of preliminary R&D surveys (market and marketing researches, business strategies, competition analyses, cost-benefit analyses, product specification)
- Planning of applied research and product development projects (project plans, business plans, applications)
- Consultation on international R&D projects: 7th Framework Programme, Eureka-Eurostars, ITEA2, COST, Manunet, CIP, etc. (project applications, additional documentation)
- Search for partners (search for eligible project partners)
Support measures
The primary support measures for implementation of R&D and product development activities in 2010.
The support measures listed below aim to promote the development of innovative practices and entrepreneurship, support the elaboration of new technologies, products and services, facilitate international cooperation and increase competitiveness.
- SUPPORT FOR R&D PROJECTS: to develop new competitive products, services, technologies and product development processes
- EUREKA - EUROSTARS: to support innovative and market-driven small and medium-sized enterprises with their product development
- 7th FRAMEWORK PROGRAMME: to support international research and technology development projects
- EUREKA - ITEA 2: to support the elaboration of new software solutions (systems, platforms)
- COMPETITIVENESS AND INNOVATION FRAMEWORK PROGRAMME (CIP): to support innovative activities and technology transfer and to encourage a better take-up and use of new technologies. The programme also promotes the development of the information society and energy efficiency
- MANUNET: to support cooperation projects aimed at developing manufacturing and related sectors
- COST: to promote European cooperation in research and technology
- INNOVATION VOUCHERS: to facilitate cooperation between entrepreneurs and their outside innovation partners
